When I was young, I dreaded getting older. I thought if I kept myself strong, I could avoid the aches and pains that come with age. I always did intense workouts and often found myself lifting weights in some crazy positions without thinking about how my form would impact my back or joints later in life. I remember people telling me that I would hurt myself if I didn’t use the correct posture while lifting. But, of course, I was fearless and thought that could never happen to me.
Now that I’m in my late 40’s, I find myself regretting the warnings I received in those early years. I recently discovered that the disks in my lower back are degenerating and I’ve been told that I need surgery at some point. That was hard enough to deal with, but then I began having knee pain about 6 months ago, which added to my daily struggle. Just taking my dog out for a walk was at times unbearable. Sometimes the pain that radiated up my leg into my hip and was so intense it would wake me up in the middle of the night.
My doctor prescribed Ibuprofen and other painkillers to use when the pain got to the point of being unbearable. But I didn’t like taking them because of the numerous side effects, especially when I needed to drive or work with a clear head. Then a friend suggested that I try taking CBD, which she said I could find in oil drops or capsules. I’m someone who has pill fatigue, so I thought oil drops might be the best way to take it. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stand the taste of the CBD oils I tried – even the drops with added flavoring, like peppermint, could trigger a gag reflex when I tasted them.
I was about to give up on CBD when another friend recommended Alpine Miracle gel caps. When I received my first order, I was pleasantly surprised to see how small they were. They were much easier to take than ordinary capsules or pills.
I began taking two gel caps a day and, after the second day, I managed to sleep through the night without any shooting pains in my leg waking me up. Within a week, I was also able to take my dog out for walks without the stabbing pain in my knee – and without having to wear a knee brace. The pain in by lower back is also significantly less and overall, the morning stiffness I was feeling has just gone away. I was able to start swimming again, which I hadn’t been able to do for a very long time.
Now that I’ve been taking the gel caps for a few months, I have noticed other benefits as well. I seem to have a lower sense of anxiety from stress. I also feel less brain fog, which I often attributed to my pain and the medicine I had taken for it. After seeing such positive results, I wondered if feeling better was really because of the CBD I was taking, or if it was just a coincidence. When I started doing some research on the benefits of CBD, I learned is that the improvements I felt were not just in my imagination. There is science confirming these benefits are real, that CBD is known to help with pain, inflammation, autoimmune disorders, anxiety and neurological function.
I’m convinced that CBD is an amazing nutrient for anyone who has nagging chronic pain and stiffness like mine and needs fast results without the harsh side effects of pain medication that interfere with work and everyday life. For people like me who don’t like taking pills or can’t tolerate the taste of ordinary CBD oils, I would highly recommend they try Alpine Miracle gel caps.
