Compassionate Certification Centers™ (CCC), a national medical cannabis healthcare network, announced official dates for the 2nd Annual 2018 World Medical Cannabis Conference & Expo (WMCCExpo), April 12-14, 2018. As with the 2017 event, which took place in April this year, the next will take place at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
Designed to unite medical professionals, patients, and the industry’s leading entrepreneurs, the 2017 World Medical Cannabis Conference and Expo merged medical education with cannabis business innovation. It was a resounding success with thousands of attendees and numerous educational seminars, panels and lectures. Program highlights included educational workshops and high-profile speakers, from Heisman Trophy Winner Ricky Williams and Forensic Science Consultant Dr. Cyril Wecht, to Pennsylvania Senators Daylin Leach and Mike Folmer. The inaugural 2017 WMCCExpo received extensive media coverage and attracted audiences from all over the country.
SUCCESS: PA’s First Large-Scale Medical Cannabis Conference Since MM Legalization
The 2018 WMCCExpo promises even more. Based in Pennsylvania, the conference is centrally located near emerging medical marijuana programs and key industry players, including: Maryland, Ohio, Michigan, and West Virginia.
“Our conferences serve as a catalyst for healthcare progress and strive to create awareness. We want to inspire people of all different backgrounds to get involved and shape the evolution of this industry,” said Compassionate Certification Centers co-founder, Melonie Kotchey.
Established by physicians for physicians, CCC™ offers individuals and organizations the ability to license and run their own certification centers for medical cannabis or medical marijuana in legalized states. The staging of this medical cannabis conference will coincide with the first Pennsylvania dispensary openings slated for spring 2018. Nearly 4,000 attendees are expected to attend next year’s 2018 WMCCExpo, including 150 exhibiting companies, and dozens of medical, investment, and industry thought leaders.
“We look forward to returning this historic conference to Pittsburgh. Pennsylvania’s patient-oriented bill and well-executed program timeline has set a benchmark for future legislation, and is already projected to be in the top five medical cannabis markets by 2020,” said Dr. Bryan Doner, co-founder of Compassionate Certification Centers and host of The Cannabis Reporter Radio Show’s Medical Marijuana Minute Updates each week.
